"The Ocean is the Ultimate Solution"
This is one of my favorite Zappa instrumentals. It's a long jam with some extraordinary face-melting, oddly-tuned guitar work.
"The Ocean is the Ultimate Solution" was recorded in 1976 with the following (3) personnel:
FZ -- guitar, synthesizer
Patrick O'Hearn -- string bass, electric bass
Terry Bozzio -- drums

(*NOTE: this tune - which was actually culled from a single-take 30-minute random jam - admittedly takes a minute or two to 'gel' into a recognizable song structure, so I urge you impatients to give it a bit before forsaking it!)
